Art Trends: Emerging Talent in Atlanta

Atlanta artists are making waves on the fine arts scene this year at the southern city’s inaugural Atlanta Arts Fair.

Despite being home to 5 million residents, Atlanta has historically been slow to cultivate its own visual arts scene. However, October 2024 marked a significant turning point as the city proudly hosted its inaugural Atlanta Arts Fair, featuring over 60 galleries, 20 of which were local.

Esteemed art partners such as the High Museum, Zuckerman Museum of Art, Kennesaw State University, and Spelman College came together to support this vibrant event, which coincided with plenty of other creative activities during Atlanta’s Art Week. These initiatives have revitalized the local art community and positioned Atlanta as a burgeoning hub showcasing uniquely Southern perspectives and a diverse array of emerging talent.
