The Balladeer Hotel is Mount Airy, North Carolina’s newest addition to the arts-steeped town. Home of beloved local legend Andy Griffith and bluegrass music, Mount Airy’s history is rich. We had the pleasure of working with the interior design talents at IIG to create and curate an art collection that sings! Chock-full of artworks from North Carolina artists and complementary custom works by our studio artists, The Balladeer’s art speaks to the hotel’s history as Spencer’s Mill Building and its transformation through the ages alongside the vibrant town that surrounds it. Videos above and immediately below are work-in-progress clips from a beautiful tufted work by textile artist Cat Babbie – scroll on to see the complete work and first looks at this newly opened hotel!
