This month’s trend highlights are from the High Point Market show in High Point.
From art to tabletop decor, our team perused a plethora of displays to distill visual trends we’re seeing in interior design markets. We love taking inspiration from all things large and small at shows like these. The art is in the details! Here are some of the most prominent trends we saw while walking the market:
- Circular Forms
- Sunset Tones
- Textured Textiles
- Veneered Vernacular

Artful mirrors, arrays of round frames commanding the space, framed sculptures in soft, round shapes – we love it all! The softer of the geometric shapes lends itself to inviting arrangements, and appears almost as a portal to another plane when used to frame large scale art as seen above this white sofa.

In both tabletop decor and art adorning walls around the market, we saw plenty of pinks. Washes of warm colors juxtaposed with cool blues and greens recall the pastels of summer sunsets. We’re inspired by the variety of textures at play – frosted and glossy glass, organic ceramic glazes, and colorful murals make a feast for the eyes in any room.

Textile art is on the up and up! These pieces are full of movement and dimensionality, the fibers creating dramatic highlights and shadows within the frames.

Complementing the warm palettes seen in the Sunset Tones trend, we also noted the prevalence of wood veneer art and decor. The warm texture of wood lends itself to more traditional framed art as well as sophisticated dimensional pieces.
